I. Normas para autores

Los artículos y materiales para publicación, así como la posibilidad de un número monográfico, deben enviarse a través de esta web http://revista.agroecologia.net, tras registrarse en la misma y acceder a las opciones de envío de nuevo artículo.

En el proceso de envío de artículos, los autores confimarán una serie de requisitos, entre los cuales se encuentran la declaración de originalidad de los mismos y aspectos estilísticos y de formato.

II. Normas de edición

Formato, estilo y extensión de los artículos

Los artículos pueden presentarse en castellano, portugués e inglés, no deben ser inferiores a 8.000 palabras ni sobrepasar las 10.000, incluyendo título, el cuerpo y bibliografía. Estará redactado a doble espacio, en Arial o Calibri 12, salvo las notas que deben ir en tamaño 10. Asimismo, las notas, la lista de referencias bibliográficas y las citas textuales extensas se presentarán a un espacio. Las páginas irán numeradas correlativamente, incluyendo los gráficos, cuadros, mapas y referencias bibliográficas.

Las imágenes deberán enviarse en formato TIFF, en un documento separado y con una resolución de 300 DPI (puntos por pulgada), en color preferentemente o en escala de grises, con tamaño de 120 mm y con una altura máxima de 180mm La obtención de licencias de reproducción de imágenes con un copyright es responsabilidad del autor. Los gráficos serán entregados en fichero aparte, con los datos originales en formato Excel.

Los artículos irán precedidos de una página no numerada que contenga el título, un resumen y cuatro palabras clave, todo ello en castellano o portugués e inglés, El resumen describirá el objetivo del artículo, sus materiales y/o metodología, los resultados, sus argumentos y las conclusiones en un máximo de 1400 caracteres (incluidos espacios).

En la aplicación para subir el artículo se indicarán los datos personales y profesionales del autor o autores, su afiliación institucional y profesional, dirección particular completa y del centro de trabajo, e-mail, y otra información de contacto que se considere relevante. Así miso, en la aplicación los autores verificaran una declaración de originalidad del artículo presentado, y que no está siendo evaluado simultáneamente para ser publicado en otra revista.

Los agradecimientos del autor aparecerán en la versión final una vez que el manuscrito haya sido aceptado para su publicación. En el caso de que consten en la primera versión serán eliminados antes de ser remitidos para evaluación externa. Dichos agradecimientos se situarán después de las conclusiones y antes de las referencias bibliográficas. Podrá señalar si los resultados han sido presentados en seminarios y congresos, o si ha recibido ayuda o financiación de organismos e instituciones, haciendo referencia expresa a los proyectos de investigación en los que participa y a los que han de atribuirse los resultados.

Los autores pueden enviar archivos suplementarios para su publicación electrónica en la web de Agroecología, junto al artículo correspondiente. Sólo se admitirán como materiales complementarios series de datos, documentos de archivo, fotografías, infografías o mapas directamente relacionados con el artículo remitido. Las series de datos preferiblemente se enviarán en un formato tabular mediante un único archivo en libro de hojas de cálculo (excel, calc,...), en cuya primera hoja deberán constar los datos de presentación necesarios, las fuentes de origen y la vinculación con el artículo. Las imágenes y otros documentos (fotografías, mapas, infografías, textos,...) también deberán presentarse en un único archivo en formato pdf no bloqueado que contenga también los datos de presentación y fuentes, además de la referencia al artículo principal en la primera página del documento

Estructura del texto y guía de estilo

El artículo de investigación podrá dividirse en apartados numerados con sus correspondientes títulos. Se podrá utilizar un máximo de tres niveles de secciones (1., 1.1, 1.1.1) aunque se recomienda no sobrepasar dos. Debe especificar sus objetivos y su pertinencia con respecto a lo publicado en la bibliografía, la calidad de los datos, y en su caso, las características de la muestra utilizada, la metodología y las técnicas de análisis. Después describirá y analizará los resultados obtenidos, junto con o seguido de una discusión de los mismos respecto a los obtenidos en otras investigaciones similares. Finalmente, especificará de forma clara y concisa sus conclusiones, resaltando sus aportaciones originales para el conocimiento.

Los cuadros, gráficos e ilustraciones incluirán una referencia a las fuentes y, cuando sea necesario, al método de análisis de los datos presentados.

No se empleará la negrita ni el subrayado. Se utilizarán las comillas “-” para introducir palabras en otros idiomas, siempre que se considere imprescindible y con su correspondiente traducción. Todas las citas y palabras latinas o de otras lenguas que no se encuentren en los diccionarios normativos españoles, portugueses o ingleses deben ir en cursiva en el manuscrito:

Referencias y citas

Las citas textuales que excedan de cuatro líneas se recogerán a un espacio y con un margen distinto (2 cm de margen derecho e izquierdo) al del texto principal, sin comillas y sin cambiar el tipo de letra.

Las notas a pie de página se numerarán consecutivamente a lo largo de todo el texto. Se aconseja que no sean muy largas y que se reserven para referencias documentales o breves aclaraciones en el caso de que fueran importantes y no resultaran apropiadas en el texto. Las referencias a fuentes no publicadas se harán en las notas a pie de página siguiendo las normas de cita de fuentes manuscritas que suelen ser habituales en la comunidad científica.

Las referencias bibliográficas se recogerán en el texto indicando el apellido o apellidos de los autores, el año de publicación y cuando sea necesario la(s) página(s) citada(s). Si el número de autores que firman una obra es superior a dos, en las referencias dentro del texto se citará por el apellido o apellidos del primer firmante, seguido de et al. (Pérez Prendes et al., 1990). Cuando sea necesario incluir referencias en notas a pie de página que apoyen el contenido del texto por medio de aclaraciones adicionales se seguirán las mismas normas de estilo.

En la cita de una obra clásica puede indicarse la fecha original antes de la fecha de la edición consultada: (Columela, S I d.C./1959: 37)

La sección de referencias bibliográficas será recogida a un espacio al final del manuscrito y deberá contener, exclusivamente, las referencias de toda la bibliografía y fuentes publicadas citadas en el texto por orden alfabético de apellidos y en el caso de un mismo mismo primer autor, primero irán las de ese autor solo, luego con un coautor y después con más de dos autores, dentro de cada grupo por orden creciente de año de publicación. La autoría de los textos se expresará según figure en el original (con uno o dos apellidos). Si hay más de un apellido, se recogerán las referencias por orden alfabético del primero, sólo en el caso de los autores de países hispanohablantes. Si hay dos o más publicaciones de un autor en un mismo año, se ordenarán adjuntando letras por orden alfabético e.g.: 2014a, 2014b. La sección de referencias seguirá la norma APA

Proceso de evaluación de artículos

Los artículos propuestos para publicación serán analizados previamente por el Consejo Editorial. Los que se consideren de interés para la revista y reúnan los requisitos formales se someterán a una valoración externa por pares en régimen de doble anonimato. El resultado será comunicado a los autores por el gestor de la revista. Los manuscritos propuestos para su publicación en otra sección, como son las reseñas de libros, los debates o las necrológicas serán valorados por el Consejo editorial, que decidirá sobre su publicación.

Normas para la presentación de propuestas de monográficos

Las propuestas para volúmenes monográficos deberán incluir la siguiente información:

Nombre y afiliación académica de los editores invitados
Título del monográfico propuesto
Justificación razonada del interés y novedad de la propuesta, indicando que comparten los trabajos sugeridos (fundamentos teóricos, metodología, objetivos, distintas posiciones en torno a un tema...). Si es posible, se destacará la aportación de cada contribución a ese conjunto.
Un breve resumen tanto del objetivo del monográfico como de los artículos propuestos (unas líneas en este último caso). El resumen de la propuesta tendrá una extensión mínima de 250 palabras y máxima de 700, y el de cada artículo entre 100 y 250 palabras.
Se podrá incluir un número variable de artículos, con un mínimo de 4 y un máximo de 7, en ningún caso un artículo podrá tener menos de 8.000 palabras ni más de 12.000).
El editor invitado o editores invitados no podrán firmar en total más de un artículo del monográfico (entre todos).
El monográfico puede incluir una introducción, pero ésta debe tener la consideración de artículo y ser evaluado a todos los efectos. Su extensión debe adaptarse al formato estándar de los artículos de la revista (8.000-12.000 palabras).
La propuesta deberá tener una extensión mínima de una página y máxima de cinco.

Pruebas y separatas

Una vez que se acepte la publicación del artículo, el gestor de la revista informará al autor de la decisión tomada. La versión final se entregará en formato digital (Word para Windows o formato compatible) siendo editada por Agroecología, que se reserva el derecho de introducir cambios en la versión final de acuerdo con las normas de edición. El autor recibirá una última prueba de su texto para corregir eventuales errores de redacción o tipográficos. No se permitirán cambios importantes en el contenido del texto en esta redacción final. Los autores recibirán una separata de su texto en formato PDF una vez publicado el artículo.

Crítica de libros

La crítica de libros se realiza a petición del Consejo Editorial de Agroecología. Las editoriales y los autores están invitados a proponer libros para su reseña en la revista, bien mediante el envío del ejemplar a la dirección postal de la Secretaría de la revista o bien facilitando sus datos editoriales al Gestor de la revista, pero siempre notificándolo previamente al email: revista@agroecologia.net. No se publicarán reseñas recibidas que no hayan sido solicitadas y aprobadas por el Consejo Editorial.

Las reseñas deberán tener una extensión entre 1.500 y 2.000 palabras e incluirán al final tanto el nombre de autor como de la universidad o institución a la que pertenece y su ORCID.

Las reseñas de libros irán precedidas de un encabezamiento con los siguientes datos: nombre y apellidos del autor o autores (o, en su caso, editores, coordinadores o compiladores), título del libro, lugar de publicación, editorial, año de publicación y número de páginas. Las referencias a otras publicaciones deben seguir las normas de publicación de la revista.

I. Rules for authors

Articles and materials for publication, as well as the possibility of a monographic number, must send through this website http://revista.agroecologia.net, transfer it and access the shipping options for a new article.

In the process of submitting articles, the authors will confirm a series of requirements, among which are the declaration of originality of the articles and stylistic and format aspects.

II. Editing standards

Format, style, and length of articles

The articles can be presented in Spanish, Portuguese and English, must not be less than 8,000 words or exceed 12,000 words, include the notes and the list of references, and will not exceed 20 pages in length. It will be written in double space, in Arial or Calibri 12, except for the notes that must be in size 10. Also, the notes, the list of bibliographic references and the extensive textual citations will be presented in one space. The pages will be numbered sequentially, including graphics, tables, maps and bibliographic references.

Images required by sending in TIFF format, in a separate document and with a resolution of 300 DPI (dots per inch), in color or gray scale, with a size of 120 mm. and with a maximum height of 180 mm. Obtaining licenses to reproduce images with a copyright is the responsibility of the author. The graphics will be delivered in a separate file, with the original data in Excel format.

The articles will precede a non-numbered page that contains the title, a summary and four keywords, all in Spanish or Portuguese and English, the summary that describes the objective of the article, materials and/or methods, results, its arguments and conclusions in a maximum of 1400 characters (including spaces).

In the article uploading application, personal and professional data of the author or authors, their institutional and professional affiliation, full home and workplace address, e-mail, and other contact information deemed relevant will be indicated. Likewise, in the application the authors will verify a statement of originality of the article presented, and that it is not being evaluated simultaneously to be published in another journal.

The acknowledgment will appear in the final version once the manuscript has been accepted for publication. If appearing in the first version, they will be eliminated before being sent for external evaluation. These acknowledgments will be placed after the conclusions and before the bibliography. You can indicate if the results have been presented in seminars and conferences, or if you have received help or funding from organizations and institutions, making express reference to the research projects in the participants and to those who have attributed the results.

Authors can send supplementary files for electronic publication on the Agroecology website, along with the corresponding article. Only data series, archival documents, photographs, infographics or maps directly related to the submitted article will be accepted as complementary materials. The specified data series will be sent in a tabular format using a single file in the spreadsheet book (excel, calc, ...), on whose first sheet the required presentation data, source sources and link with the article. Images and other documents (photographs, maps, infographics, texts, ...) can also be presented in a single file in unblocked pdf format that also contains the presentation data and sources, in addition to the reference to the main article in the first document page

Text structure and style guide

The research article may be divided into numbered sections with their corresponding titles. A maximum of three levels of sections (1., 1.1, 1.1.1) may be used, although it is recommended not to exceed two. You must specify its objectives and its relevance with respect to what is published in the bibliography, the quality of the data, and where appropriate, the characteristics of the sample used, the methodology and the analysis techniques. Then, the results obtained will be described and analysed. Finally, it will clearly and concisely specify its conclusions, highlighting its original contributions to knowledge.

Tables, graphs and illustrations shall include a reference to the sources and, where necessary, to the method of analysis of the data presented.

Bold and underline will not be used. The quotation marks “-” will be used to enter words in other languages, whenever it is considered essential and with the corresponding translation. All citations and words in Latin or other languages that are not found in the Spanish, Portuguese or English normative dictionaries must be italicized in the manuscript:

References and citations

Quotations that exceed four lines will be included in one line spacing and with a different margin (2 cm of left and right margin) than the main text, without quotation marks and without changing the font.

Footnotes will be numbered consecutively throughout the text. It is recommended that they not be very long and that they be reserved for documentary references or brief clarifications if they were important and were not appropriate in the text.

References to unpublished sources will be made in the footnotes following the rules for citing handwritten sources that are common in the historiographical community.

Bibliographic references will be collected in the text indicating the authors' surname or surnames, the year of publication and, when necessary, the cited page (s). If the number of authors signing a work is greater than three, in the references within the text it will be cited by the surname or surnames of the first signer, followed by et al. (Pérez Prendes et al., 1990). When it is necessary to include references in footnotes that support the content of the text by means of additional clarifications, the same style rules will be followed.

In the citation of a classic work, the original date can be indicated before the date of the edition consulted: (Columela, S I d.C./1959: 37)

The bibliography section will be included in one line spacing at the end of the manuscript and must exclusively contain the references of the entire bibliography and published sources cited in the text in alphabetical order of surnames and in the case of the same first author, those of that author will go alone, then with a co-author and then with more than two authors, within each group in increasing order of publication year. The authorship of the texts will be expressed as it appears in the original (with one or two last names). If there is more than one surname, the references will be collected in alphabetical order of the first, only in the case of authors from Spanish-speaking countries. If there are two or more publications by an author in the same year, they will be ordered by attaching letters in alphabetical order e.g .: 2014a, 2014b. The references section will follow the APA standard

Article evaluation process

The articles proposed for publication will be previously analysed by the Editorial Committee. Those considered to be of interest to the magazine and who meet the formal requirements will undergo an external peer review in double anonymity. The result will be communicated to the authors by the journal manager. Manuscripts proposed for publication in another section, such as book reviews, debates, or obituaries, will be valued by the Editorial Board, which will decide on their publication.

Guide for monographic proposals

Proposals for monographic volumes should include the following information:

Name and academic affiliation of the guest editors
Title of the proposed monograph
Reasoned justification of the interest and novelty of the proposal, indicating that they share the suggested works (theoretical foundations, methodology, objectives, different positions on a topic ...). If possible, the contribution of each contribution to that set will be highlighted.
A brief summary of both the objective of the monograph and the articles proposed (a few lines in the latter case). The summary of the proposal will have a minimum length of 250 words and a maximum of 700, and the length of each article between 100 and 250 words.
A variable number of articles may be included, with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7, in no case an article may have less than 8,000 words or more than 12,000).
The invited editor or invited editors may not sign a total of more than one article of the monograph (among all).
The monograph may include an introduction, but it must be considered as an article and must be evaluated for all purposes. Its length must adapt to the standard format of the articles in the magazine (8,000-12,000 words).
The proposal must have a minimum length of one page and a maximum of five.

Tests and offprints

Once the publication of the article is accepted, the magazine manager will inform the author of the decision taken. The final version will be delivered in digital format (Word for Windows or compatible format) being edited by Agroecology, which reserves the right to make changes to the final version in accordance with the editing regulations. The author will receive a final proof of his text to correct eventual writing or typographical errors. No major changes in text content will be allowed in this final writing. The authors will receive a copy of their text in PDF format once the article is published.

Book review

A book review can be done at the request of the Editorial Committee of Agroecology. Editorials and authors are invited to propose books for review in the journal, either by sending the copy to the postal address of the Journal Secretariat or by providing their editorial data to the Manager of the magazine, but always notifying it in advance to the email: revista@agroecologia.net. Reviews received that have not been requested and approved by the Editorial Committee will not be published.

The reviews must be between 1,500 and 2,000 words long and will include at the end both the author's name and the university or institution to which it belongs and its ORCID.

Book reviews will be preceded by a heading with the following information: name and surname of the author or authors (or, where appropriate, publishers, coordinators or compilers), title of the book, place of publication, publisher, year of publication and number of pages. References to other publications must follow the journal's publication standards.
